4 Years Later

So I started banging on about how important it would be for the third sector to get in to social media in 2009... eek, I didn't know it had been so long.

It has often been like banging my head against a brick wall.

But interesting to see that I ran my first: Build your own blog, brand or website on WordPress in 2009.

I held the first Tweet Up in 2010 and have been researching and learning  for 4 years.

In this time, I have seen the people who said I was talking a load of rubbish run with my ideas and try to copy them.

The late responders are now responding, the sceptics have become believers and the laggards skipping instead of dragging.

I have been a catalyst.
4 years later, I still love social media. I am working in the third sector as well as the private sector and there is becoming very little difference between the two. I still love creating fun and funky strategies, in what is now an official industry.

It's not easy being the first responder.... but it is what I have chosen.
